In 2017, the Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce took the initiative to have Beauregard Parish Certified as a ACT Work Ready Community. By doing this, our local high school students are tested and this information in compiled into the NCRC Database which showcases our established workforce.
The ACT WorkKeys NCRC is a portable, industry-recognized credential
that clearly identifies an individual’s skills in workplace documents,
applied math and graphic literacy - skills required for 77 percent of jobs based on ACT JobPro database. The foundation of a community's certification is based on individuals at the parish level across the current, transitioning and emerging workforce.
